Romantic expressionism lent itself perfectly to the connection with nature. This style is also called the Gooi country house construction, because there are many examples in the Gooi. Architects who worked in this style included Th. Rueter, W. Hamdorff and J.C. from Epen. This country house has all the style features: the curved roof shape, the use of natural materials such as reed, roof tiles, clean masonry and wood, a distribution of bars in the wooden windows.
