In the business expressionist building style, architect B.H. Bakker a series of three houses on the corner of Boomberglaan and ‘s-Gravelandseweg. He himself lived in the house with the gable end, number 77. The businesslike main form with the application of steel windows is given playfulness by the use of boarding and decorative dormer windows. A few years ago, a large number of Bakker’s design drawings were found in the space between the ceiling and the first floor. He must have hidden these between the beams during the war years.
