IIn the villa park around Bosplein, two villas were built in 1929 by the N.V. Hollandsche Credietbank in Rotterdam to the design of architects Gulden and Geldmaker. The architects were inspired by the design language of the villas of Frank Lloyd Wright and R. van ‘t Hoff. The villa was donated to the actor Louis Bouwmeester, who was never able to enjoy it. The peculiar white villa has a flat roof, but the Dutch house is no good without a roof. The resident has ensured that the view can go up along the wires of the antenna and we imagine a suitable roof on the house. The radio can also provide visual pleasures. The centrally located stairwell was illuminated from above by a skylight. The villas were demolished in 1976.
