Villa De Kindertuin was built in 1905 by order of L.Th. Tetrode. Although the building had the appearance of an Art Nouveau villa, it also served as the Wilhelmina-Fröbel School, a kindergarten of Mrs. L.M.E. Tree for young children of wealthy parents. On the ground floor were two classrooms and a games room. The villa has two beautiful Jugendstil tile panels, one in the gable with a peacock and one at the entrance with the name of the villa.
