The design of the church building (Place of Meeting) of the Apostolic Society on La Rivièrestraat in Hilversum is an exemplary example of church design from the early Post 65 period. The architecture consists of a few flat-topped brick boxes that accommodate the different functions of the building. The Great Hall, which also has a balcony with seating, rises high above the other building parts. Next to the building is a loose brick tower of low height.
The design came from the Hilversum architectural firm Hartman & Eylers, which was very productive in those years. In 2014, the Place of Gathering was renovated by the Rotterdam architectural firm Terrena, with the interior of the church hall being renovated to better match the atmosphere with a smaller number of churchgoers. The ceiling has been changed and some stained glass windows have been added in the side wall.
