One of the driving forces behind the development of the Suzanna Park was B.R.G. Bouricius. He gave the park the name Suzanna Park, because his daughter and wife of his brother-in-law were called Suzanna. Bouricius was a member of the city council. The family lived in the spacious villa Palaboean. The villa was replaced in 1959 by a block of flats by W.M. weather camp.
