Just as the designers of the Nimrod Park had proposed, Verschuyl placed the large neoclassical villa Sonneheerdt in the axis of the main avenue, the Nimrodlaan. The villa stands on a semi-circular site, to which some houses were added later on the edges. The villa is built in bright red brick. The symmetrical facade contains two rising gables with pediments. The roof moldings are profiled. The roof is covered with slates. The chimneys have trough vaults and abutments. The client, Mr Blom, had a tree cut down so as not to obstruct the view of the symmetrical facade. In the garden there is still an original berceau (deciduous corridor).
