Villa Hestia in neoclassical style is the remaining main part of a former country estate. The villa is iconic situated on a large site on the corner of Utrechtseweg and Laapersweg.
The development of ribbon development and villa parks south of Hilversum came about later than that to the northwest of the center, in the direction of ‘s-Graveland. This villa belongs to the first generation on the Utrechtseweg. The frieze under the eaves is decorated with garlands. The plastered facades are articulated horizontally by incised bands and cornices, and vertically articulated by pilasters at the corners. In the salon you can still see the ceiling with profiled frames and inlaid paintings on canvas. The outbuildings and the landscaping with its pond have disappeared.
