The Zuiderkerk is located on Neuweg near the intersection with Gijsbrecht van Amstelstraat. Workers’ housing was built in the area around 1900. In accordance with the garden city idea, the church has started to function as a dominant feature for the area due to the streets oriented towards it. Originally, the roof connected directly to the tower with a sheer, later a frame was added.
