Guided tour of the Town Hall on Sunday 16 April with a performance by the Goois Youth Orchestra
On Sunday 16 April, participants in the tour of the Town Hall (tour starts at 1.30 pm) are welcome to a performance by the Goois Jeugd Orkest from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm in the Burgerzaal: Concert Fantasia.
In the Goois Jeugd Orkest (GJO) more than 60 children from 8 to 20 years come together to rehearse, have fun and play classical masterpieces, film music and pop, among other things. Under the direction of conductor Gerhart Drijvers, students in 2 age groups make music together and learn the story and musical structure behind each piece in an accessible way.
Since 1978, the Goois Jeugd Orkest has been offering a creative platform for young musical talent. This orchestra was founded in 1978 to “promote and encourage young people’s knowledge and love of the arts in general and music in particular”. A beautiful intention of the founders S. van Bronkhorst in Naarden, H.G. de Cock from Nieuw Loosdrecht, J.W. de Jong from Hilversum, P.J. Kruysse from Eemnes and L.H. Slotboom from Hilversum.
You can sign up for the tour via our site.
