Seven three-storey building blocks protrude into the heathland like teeth in the Kamrad to give shape to the smooth transition from buildings to the adjacent heathland. Behind the stacked houses are rows of single-family houses.
The generous urban design pattern was already laid down by Dudok in the 1933 termination plan. The plan was based on the completion of the city and the preservation of the surrounding natural beauty. The latter was partly prompted by the report published in 1925 by the Central Beauty Commission for the Gooi, in which the Gooi municipalities were called upon to pay more attention to the preservation of the natural beauty when developing expansion plans.
