In 1925 Dudok, together with engineer Groote, designed his later successor as director of Public Works, a pumping station on Minckelerweg. The pumping station consisted of two building parts at right angles to each other. Characteristic were the far overhanging hipped roofs. De Ingenieur magazine described the building as ‘a new element of beauty in the landscape’.
