The building is a combination of residential and retail properties. The neighborhood has been given an urban design pattern with twisted streets. The neighborhood shops were on corners and were accentuated by higher volumes. Where the roof surfaces continue between the facade parts, the impression of a series of turrets is created. The houses are lower and have a more horizontal character. The facades are finished with boarding at the level of the first floor. The alternation in silhouette and use of materials is typical of the style of the Amsterdam School. The intimate, urban character makes this complex very special.
