The auditorium and outbuildings of the Duinhof cemetery (1961) in Velsen are located in a clearing in the dune landscape, accessible via a long, winding road through the forest. Numerous architectural elements evoke a sense of transition: the canopy, the protruding box window of the auditorium overlooking a pond, the gate and the colonnade.
