Dudok designed 10 houses on the Besselstraat to replace houses that had to be demolished with the construction of the Beatrix tunnel. The middle class houses with a wide bay window and front garden were divided over two blocks. At the rear, the houses had a small balcony on the first floor and a dormer window in the attic.
