The original 18-storey design had to be reduced to 14 storeys due to the maximum building height. The building, which has become known as the ‘Elsevier Building’, contained office spaces, meeting rooms, a canteen and a scooter and bicycle shed. The facade was symmetrically arranged with a glass staircase and elevator house in the middle. A large projecting canopy crowned the entrance. In 2012, the then empty office building was converted into a student flat.
